  • 1. Joe Pavona called the meeting to order at 7:06 pm. Due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus, the meeting is again being held by conference call-in. In attendance are: Joe Pavona, Sean Looman, Jill Garnett, Sue Webster, Jon Haun, Joe Tonnos, Carol Chapman, Cindy Carson.

    2. The minutes of July 9, 2020, were reviewed by the Board. Jon moved to accept the minutes as presented; Sean supported the motion. Joe P reports that he requested Tracy Pinto, Web Master, to update our website and ensure that all ILEHA Board agendas and approved minutes were posted.

    3. Reports:

Treasurers Report: Given that it has only been 18 days since the last Board meeting and the monthly bank statement is not yet available, a Treasurers report was not available.

LINC: Cindy reports that there is no known activity on LINC.

Membership: Jon Haun reports that the Keena’s (4731 Arapaho Trail) have sold their house and new residents will be taking occupancy by August 25th.

Maintenance: Joe Pavona has contacted the insurance adjuster of the at-fault driver of the recent accident at the corner of Comanche and Mt. Hope due to the damage to our property. He has not heard back from the adjuster.

WebMaster: Tracy Pinto was not present.

    4. Old Business: Sean Looman provided information on the Work Group including himself, David Skole and Joe Cissel. This group was formed to address the need for an independent engineering contractor to assist the Board and Association membership in reviewing the proposed surface water management plan when available regarding the proposed Andev senior living community. Sean reports that 9 potential bidders were contacted with 3 reporting interest. Two formal proposals were received: ASTI of Brighton and HRC of Holt. The work group is in the process of reviewing these proposals and will be reporting back to the Board within the next few days. The lawn irrigation system repair at Mohican Park will be postponed until a later date. Funds set aside for the repair will instead be redirected for expenses associated with retaining our consulting environmental engineering firm.

Sue Webster and Joe Tonnos met/spoke with Lindeman to address flooding in our neighborhood after sending pictures to him of last spring’s flooding. Lindeman did not appear to offer significant support or solutions to this issue.

    5. New Business: Joe P discussed the possibility of holding the Township Planning Commission accountable for an apparent violation of Township procedures. This involved Commissioner Premo’s motion to end Commission discussion on a motion regarding the natural features survey pertaining to the Andev project. It was agreed that Joe P would contact our legal counsel, Kevin Roragen, for advice and report back to the Board.

Speed issues and increased traffic in ILE were addressed. Joe contacted our neighborhood police representative and the speed monitor was put in the neighborhood. Additionally, our officer spent time monitoring the speed amount of traffic in ILE. He confirmed the speed and traffic had increased as residents have experienced. Sue Webster volunteered to investigate options, including speed bumps, to assist in getting vehicular speed in our neighborhood under control. The Board believes this has been a long-standing problem and the time has come, especially given the increase in traffic, to take some active steps.

    6. The next meeting will be September 2, 2020.

    7. The meeting was adjourned with Jill moving and Sue supporting the motion.
