Dear Neighbors:
As you may recall Capstone, the developer for the proposed Hannah Farms East project and latest in the ongoing development of the Eyde property to our west (Hannah Park), granted an extension until October 15, 2017 to the Meridian Township Board relative to their request to build a new phase of student housing. I was just informed today that Capstone has again granted another extension until December 15, 2017. Therefore, the Hannah Farms East project will not be back on the Township Board agenda this month. Certainly, it could come back up for a vote—assuming Capstone submits a revised plan—anytime between now and December. However, given that they have already missed the construction season, I assume there is now no rush except to focus on next year.
We remain vigilant and in regular contact with the Township with regard to the project. Our legal counsel, Jack Davis, remains engaged and is monitoring the situation both with the Township and the Capstone/Eyde team. With Jack’s guidance we will be strategic as we move to protect our neighborhood’s interest.
I will continue to provide updates as we progress.
Many thanks.
Kindest Regards, Joe
We'd love to hear from you
